As expats, our kids usually miss out on quality time with their grandchildren and of course nothing can replace that but this amazing service in Munich surely tries to bridge the gap.
Hands down has to be one of the cutest initiatives for childcare we’ve seen so far 🥹 The goal of the organisation is to bring different generations together in a way that benefits everyone! So if you’re a family or a single parent in Munich and just want a few hours to yourself to go on a date night or run an errand, this seems like a wonderful solution.
All the Oma’s and Opa’s (Grandma and Grandpa) are responsible volunteers that sign up to spend time and play with the little ones (up to 12 years of age) so you can relax knowing that your kids are in good hands. All you need to do is book a slot with them by either calling, emailing or filling out this form - Please know that they are all booked up for the month of February 2024 and ask parents to reach out to them from March 1st, 2024 again. You can check out their website here
Lastly, the location (Landwehrstraße 15, Rgb./1st Floor 80336) of the organisation is also pretty ideal since it’s quite central and easy to get to!
Have you ever tried this service? If yes, please share with us in the comments to help fellow parents!
