Animal Farm: Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf

Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf, located in the beautiful Bavarian countryside near Munich, is a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals. It also offers a unique opportunity for children and families to interact with rescued animals in a safe and nurturing environment.

The farm is home to a wide variety of animals, including horses, cows, pigs, goats, rabbits, donkeys and even dogs and cats, all of which have been saved from difficult conditions. Children can meet, pet, and learn about the animals here!

How to Reach the Animal Farm

There are multiple ways to reach this Animal farm. Driving is the simplest and quickest mode of transport! But we’ve done it either with public transport or a combination of public transport and biking.

  1. Route with Public Transport: Take the train from Hauptbahnhof (RB6) till Iffeldorf and then it’s about a 20 minute walk. We couldn’t find a bus connection for the day we went but it’s always worth looking into it! Just a warning for the walk, it’s not the most straight forward walk since in the beginning you’re on the pavement but then you have to walk between the fields which in summer means quite a lot of mosquitos and bugs so please keep that in mind!

2. Route with Public Transport + Bike: We took our bikes on the train till Starnberg and biked from there till the Animal farm which took us about 1 hour.

If you support the animal farm by becoming a member you can also enjoy their little sanctuary for rescued dogs and get some one on one time with them! Also, there’s a small discount on entry
