There’s no doubt that Munich is known for its beer gardens, fun festivals and swimming in the Isar but thankfully for us, the indoor activities are just as exciting! So next time the weather isn’t cooperating, you can come to this list for ideas on fun indoor activities for families in Munich!

Bowling has always been activity we’ve enjoyed as a family! Our toddler is the biggest peoples person so she loves looking at everyone playing, doing her ltitle dance moves to the music and “attempting” to play. So I’d highly recommend trying this together!

Something on our list for January is checking out the SAP Garden in Munich ‘s Olympia park and attending Ice hockey or Basketball matches they host! Plus, they offer family days on Sunday’s so you can find discounts on tickets!

You can never go wrong with the classic theatre or puppet show! It’s just such a cosy family activity on days when the weather outside isn’t cooperating.

There are so many amazing museums in Munich that you can easily spend half a day in with your family – I think the most impressive has to be Deutsches Museum in my opinion! I really enjoy how diverse and interactive it is. Plus it has a special section dedicated to kids! You also get great discounts for Deutsches Museum (and others) with the Munich Family Pass!

Our 2 year is old is still a bit too small for this 😅 but I’ve enjoyed this a lot with friends and family! It’s just such a fun, creative and inexpensive activity to do together.

You can make anything from bracelets, necklaces, anklets, rings & other accessories! Also a wonderful memorabilia – Both my sister and I have gone to one these jewellery making shops and loved making our matching bracelets!
