A Christmas Market with Indoor & Outdoor Seating in Munich
We kicked off our Christmas market season at Gans Woanders this year and honestly, it was such a lovely start. This market is small, cosy and just has a magical vibe to it. The café building and the little bridge above the courtyard make the whole place feel like a tiny fairytale village tucked away in Munich.
And because I can never resist a good fireplace… this spot has two. One inside on the upper floor of the café and one outside. Both were perfect for warming up between wandering around the stalls.
There are a few cute huts selling handmade things like wooden cutlery, accessories and even some digital art pieces. It’s not a huge shopping market, but the stalls feel thoughtful and unique, which I really liked.
For entertainment, there was live music and even a fire show when we visited, which absolutely entertaining. Their programme for families looks great too, they’re planning kids’ theatre, a children’s concert and arts & crafts sessions. Definitely worth checking their website before you go so you catch the activities.
A few other wins for the market were: toilets on site, card payments possible everywhere and enough seating for you and your friends. They also have a little photo booth if you want a fun keepsake.
