Indoor play areas are always a good idea! Thankfully, Munich has some great indoor playgrounds to choose from! So, whenever the weather in Munich is cold and gloomy, you can come here and try any of these 8 indoor play areas. These play areas are also a great way to meet fellow parents and socialise!
P.S: I have found indoor play areas super helpful with a little baby – they can crawl around while being warm and toasty indoors.

1. Kim-Muenchen
Kim-Muenchen offers a large playground for playing, running around, reading & more! Operating from November through March – this indoor play area offers the perfect shelter in the cold days while still providing a fun environment for your little ones

2. Winterspielplatz – Munich’s free Indoor Play area
Winterspielplatz is the perfect place to take your little ones for a fun day out (while being inside 😉). This indoor play area in Munich offers the perfect escape from the cold weather and provides age-appropriate toys, a ball pit, soft blocks, play kitchen and endless entertainment for the little ones while having a cozy tea & coffee area for the parents. – You can check their opening times here

3. Das Kinderzimmer
Das Kinderzimmer is a recent addition to the kids space in Munich but has definitely quickly made a name for themselves with their exciting play area for little ones! Their facility is beautifully designed with an indoor slide, ball pit and various toys for kids! For the grownup, they offer iced teas, delicious barista coffee, pistachio croissants and homemade cakes!

This is one Munich’s most extensive indoor area as it offers an exciting obstacle course on three levels, slides, trampolines, climbing towers, ball pits, a toddler area, go-kart track and so much more! All in all, a place where your child cannot be bored. View their opening timings here

This indoor soft play offers the perfect entertainment for little explorers (0-36 months). Their age-appropriate toys, foam mats and crawling ramps are ideal for babies motor-development. 7. WichtelWerk Munich
The indoor playground that caters to all babies, toddlers & kids! Not only do they offer a place for kids to run, jump and explore but also offer an attached restaurant with delicious meals!

8. Elki – Eltern Kind Zentrum – Free indoor play area
Elki offers an open game room every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s from 2:30 – 4:30 pm and on Friday’s from 9-10:30 am and 12-2 pm for Lunch and Play. It’s a great place for children and parents to socialise.
