“Spielgruppe”; is a German term that literally translates to “playgroup” in English. It often refers to the gathering of young children, typically between the ages of one and three who come together to play in a supervised and structured setting.

We all know just how difficult it is to find childcare in Munich – especially kitas! In this article today we want to highlight the spielgruppe or mini-kitas around Munich where kids can stay without their parents.

1. Spielgruppe Dreimühlenbach e.V.

A parent’s initiative in Munich-Isarvorstadt. Their play group consists of 8 children between the ages of 1.5 to 3. Here the children learn to play with their peers in child-friendly rooms.

Close to the Isar, Zuckertag offers much more than a mini kita, they also have a coworking space for parents, a full-day kita, a kindergarten and more! They also frequently host fun events for families.
