1. Christkindlmarkt Unterm Maibaum

From face painting to Krampus run to Ice skating with St Nicholas, this Christmas market offers all this and much more! Definitely deserves a visit especially if you’re in the Sendling area.

2. Winterworld Motorworld

The Christmas market everyone’s been raving about this year! The Winterworld Motorworld has the cutest little shops, food stalls and has Santa coming to visit the little ones on December 6th!

ℹ️ Wednesday is children’s day so you can expect great discounts!

3. Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz

Starting off strong with the Christkindlemarkt; potentially the busiest of them all, since it’s right in the city center! Afternoons or early evening for a visit could be a better time for someone who wants to avoid the rush.

Tip: There will be Krampuslauf on Sunday, December 8, from 15 to 17:00 with the route being from Sendlinger Str. via Rosental, Viktualienmarkt to the Old Town Hall.
It can be scary for kids, so keep that in mind!

4. Chinese Tower at the English Garden

What could be a more idyllic location for a Christmas market then Munich’s very own English Garden! Opening from November 27th, you can find everything from local crafts, delicious delicacies, music and more!

5. Rotkreuzplatz Christmas Market

Started from the 25th of November, 2024, the Rotkreuzplatz Christmas market in the Neuhausen district opens its doors everyday from 11:00 am to 20:30 till December 23rd. This market is a bit on the smaller end but very cute and festive nonetheless!

6. Tollwood Winter Wonderland

Starting from the 26th of November, 2024, Tollwood is often referred to as an “alternative Christmas market” as it offers more than just the traditional Christmas market. It is especially known for its stalls of delicious food from all over the world.

7. Haidhausen Christmas Market

Often referred to as the most beautiful Christmas market in Munich, this market opens its doors from 26th of November till 24th of December.
