Bouldering with Kids in Munich: Element Bouldering

Looking for a fun and sporty indoor activity to enjoy as a family during these chilly months? You have to try out bouldering with your kids! We recently went to Element Bouldering, and it was an absolute hit! Wasn’t just fun for us but also got our 2 year olds stamp of approval 🤩

I’m a big fan of activities that cater to the whole family and bouldering definitely checked that box. Munich has quite a few bouldering places, you can view our list here – we started our our adventure with Element Bouldering.

What to Expect

My favorite feature has to be their separate family section! This area can be used by both children and adults so you can really have some fun family time. In order to cater to as many age groups as possible, the family area is divided into areas based on needs. So for example, in the little kids section, apart from climbing blocks, you will also find a a crawling labyrinth, ball pit and winding slide (which our toddler went on at least 20 times 😅)

There’s also a cozy café with a panoramic view of the adult bouldering section where you can relax and enjoy a coffee and cake date as a family! (bonus points: you can pay with card!)

As for equipment, you can either bring your own or rent bouldering shoes on site (for €3.50 per pair) – However if you child is not actively climbing and enjoying the play area, they can also play barefoot or in socks.

Offers for Families

They also have so many other fun offers like birthday events, climbing courses and event a parents night out event! If you have a child between the ages of 6-12, you can sign them up for a 4 hour action-filled time at Elements for 49€! This will include everything from rental equipment to even dinner! Definitely something to consider as a group activity with friends.
