P.S: If you didn’t know, Munich has an awesome tool which you can use to find amazing playgrounds near you! Check it out here.
📍Kinderspielplatz Luitpoldpark Krokodilfigur

This playground in Luitpoldpark is surrounded with greenery, not too crowded and has a fenced area so you can sit and easily watch over your child! It’s perfect for toddlers and has a sandhouse, swings, slide & more! Next to it is another playground 📍Kinderspielplatz Luitpoldpark Kletterhäuschen which is bigger but often very crowded in the afternoons.
📍Spielplatz Georg-Freundorfer-Platz

This playground is perfect for kids that love to climb! It doesn’t only cater to older kids but also has climbing opportunity for little ones + a fun trampoline area. In the summers it also has a water area with lots of sand underneath. There is however little shade so remember to keep hats and sunscreen! Also, there are public toilets closeby!
📍Elefanten-Spielplatz im Hirschgarten

Hands down one of our favorite playgrounds. In the beautiful Hirschgarten, with a beergarten and closed area full of deers right next door. This playground is a good size with one area dedicated more for younger kids – it has a sand house, climbing area and slide. Right next to it is a mixed area for little and bigger kids with a bigger climbing apparatus, swings, a hammock and more!
There’s also a smaller playground closeby that has a water feature for the summers.
Please share your favorite playgrounds in Munich so we can share them with our lovely community of parents here 🫶
